Coneybeare is Hiring a Machinist Apprentice (FT) Near San Diego, CA
- Ability to operate machinery as required
- Verify part quantity with the job traveler
- Set-up machines
- Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
- Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler
- Use micrometers, height gages, and optical and visual checks for part inspection
- Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs
- Analyze blueprints & travelers
- CNC or conventional/manual machining experience is required
- Gear Grinding experience is a big plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Previous Manufacturing experience is required
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use micrometers, indicators, and precision gages
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to adhere to 5S and lean standards
- Basic general inspection equipment knowledge and skills
- Basic materials knowledge
- Basic math & geometry skills
